BaldeneySteig – Circular hiking trail

The Baldeneysteig is a circular hiking trail in Essen. The 26.7 km long route runs around Lake Baldeney and was opened in 2017 as part of the European Green Capital project. As a circular trail, it is possible to start the hike at any point along the route, but according to the official map, the starting point is at the Baldeneysee dam.
